About Me

I’m a 30 something living my hometown of Salt Lake City, Utah.

I’m a martial artist, nerd, Buddhist, lover of learning, demisexual, and classified as human. Most of all, I’m a writer.

In 2012, I set out to write a novel a month – 12 novels in a year, 50,000 words each. And I did it, with one to spare, finishing my last novel, and the one I have continued to work on, in a haunted hotel in New Orleans. We celebrated with wine in Lafayette Cemetery.

Since then, I have worked on The Novel, travelled to Japan among other places, and worked toward becoming a professional writer, which I did in August of 2015.

So far, it’s been all I wanted it to be.

If you want to hire me, ask me a question, or anything else, my email door is open: michelle.tuckett@gmail.com

This blog is dedicated to the process of writing and living as an artist and a human. I strive to create content that transcends the boundaries of just art or writing, because art bleeds across all parts of us and our experiences.

Please share and enjoy.

  1. Greetings! This is Sarah Ann’s friend. Met you at Jade. Great Sandwich, by the way. 🙂

I LOVE what you’re doing and sure to become an avid fan!

If you ever want to get coffee and sit and chat about writing and other musings, email me: Dilbert22@comcast.net. I’m attempting to write a children’s book. Ugh! Writing seemed so much easier in grade school! lol. 🙂

    Hope you’re surviving this cold!

    1. Hi Wendy! I’m so glad you stopped by!

And thank you soooo much for the support. I’d love to chat about writing – I’ve even been known to be quite the word count nazi if you want to do some writing together.

I’ll shoot you an email as soon as i know my schedule! 🙂

  2. Sounds great. However, you won’t need to use much of your counting skills looking at my stuff; just a cupped hand over your mouth to keep the laughter from spilling out. 🙂 Hope your weekend has been a good one. Wendy

  3. Greetings!

I can identify with being busy. Where does the time go? Can’t believe Spring is around the corner…

I hope your hand is feeling better. I have had some decent burns. I’ve invented new swear words. Let me know if you want to borrow any. 🙂 Seriously, I hope you are doing better.

Still enjoying your blogs. They are great! 🙂

  4. Hello! Thank you for looking up my blog! I love your writing and I know exactly how you feel….writing for me is a process of spiritual liberation! It frees me from all that is petty, mundane and ordinary and helps me aspire and get inspired for great things! I too am struggling to complete a book and cannot, I mean CANNOT leave my day job! But meeting kindred spirits like you makes me continue on the path that I have decided to tread on; knowing there are more fellow creatures like me 🙂 Keep writing and keep shinning!

  5. We’ve nominated your blog for the Kreativ Blogger Award because we enjoy reading it. Check our site for the details and keep up the great work.

  6. You’re very courageous and that alone (ok and a little tenacity) should be reason for big reward! Best of luck with your writing and thanks for checking out my blog.

  7. Hi PP. Thanks for taking the time to click on the “Like” button on my most recent blog post today. Your blog is so ambitious. I encourage you to keep pressing on and find yourself through writing. I hope to hear from you again soon. Cheers!

    1. I would LOVE to be your writing buddy! My name for NaNo is wrightwrongs. Yeah, I know, I came up with it a very long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. But that’s where you can find me.

    1. Oh! It took me a second to know what you were talking about.

Just go to your WordPress dashboard, click on settings, then general. At the bottom is a little box you can click that says “show falling snow on my blog until January 4th.”

      1. Thank you!!! And haha, sorry XD I bet you thought I wanted your outside actual weather snow :3

      2. Haha actually yeah, my first thought was “Meh, you can have it.” Because
        A. I am, at times, easily confused.
        B. the slogan for Utah is “The greatest snow on earth.”
And C. That day it was snowing and I was not very excited about driving in it.

      3. Driving stinks, and also shoveling. o_O But I like skiing ^_^ If I remember correctly from your bio, you don’t ski. But you are probably used to snow by now–at least tolerating it?

      4. It looks awesome!! Thanks!!! 🙂 My blog’s theme already has little dots on the top so I’m not sure if it looks cooler or less cool but oh well.

  8. I enjoyed reading this intro to you and share your belief that we now, perhaps more than ever, need to live our dreams in the open to inspire and nourish each other. I love that expression ‘write myself real’.

  9. I’ve been following your blog since September and admire your tenacity. You have shared the inner feelings that many are too frightened to face. Thank you for exposing yourself to the virtual world. I look forward to reading your finished novel.
